take the rod, and grab it, if an opportunity shows off...THERE ARE fish, it just requires more time/planning or greater luck. We've got small basses in Croatia, but seen big fish chasing mullet. The mullets were flying out, and those were in the 30-40 cms range, so it wasn't a pack of baby basses.....

I would drop in a few gummy minnows in different sizes... and a CLOUSER works everywhere...(have some in a 4-6 sizes, too) the smaller ones sometimes are more deadly than the larger flies. ...this BF was taken on a clouser variant what I got from Sudesh... :) :cool: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/71...

Paul, I would go for the trev's as. Nile says...not easy, but more chances than finding a bone. Just outside the reefs, where waves are breaking, and where the fishing is usually the most difficult... :) Trevallies are beautiful, strong fighters. Bring a ten weight, if you can. Or a nine, at least....
