Any ideas how to get that loop to stay up longer? Ta, Al. Al, Try switching out your fluff for a 4-5" baitfish pattern. I'm not joking. That will slow down the turnover alot just through air resistance. This is what the line was intended for. Not casting small wets or fluff. Another comment I ...

Sushi, First, best of luck in your new life and chasing your dream! :) Second, may I ask why you have chosen Seattle? By nearly all accounts, the fishing there is not particularly good, and the commute to most of the better waters is quite long. If your intention is to chase trout, I would say to a...

Hawaiian Bonefish Gillnetting - A Petition

http://www.change.org/petitio....onefish Perhaps this is a worthy petition to consider signing. Talking to a couple of my friends who have connections to this fishery, I have learned that by designating bone fish as a "Gamfish" the locals will still be able to catch and keep them (using r...

Practice the quick cast. Locate the fish, but then look at the spot where you want your fly to land. If you stare at the fish, you will hit the fish with the fly. This will not work out for you. :) Don't let the guide mess with you. And don't worry about his fish handling tactics. If you are fortun...

Dahlberg. I'm not surprised at all to see this sort of innovation from him. I'd consider him a major inspiration in my fishing. Fly, geat, spin, casting, bait, whatever. This guys is an expert and innovator. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Q2-bnmI5bKY/TNEL976V67I/AAAAAAAADJo/INjNoG02zE0/s1600/Larry+dahlb...

Thanks fellas. Glad these are getting people thinking. :)

That is correct Paul, we are not allowed to fish for salmonids at night in OR. I think it is ok to fish for bass, catfish, etc.

I have antisocial "streams" here as well. They just aren't typically steelhead streams.

i kinda doubt that because there's no snap ! :D
Huh?

The first part of the cast in the video is a circle spey which is a snap T cast with a bit more rounding to it.
