when fishing the spey, all you need to do is bang out a full line and you are fishing. more time with the fly in the water, less of that dreadful striping and line management etc... sh good on the gaula etc.. when standing up on rocks/ trees behind/ fishing a sunray etc.. both cool and fun IMO :p
From my limited experience use a 14 wt, a 100lb blue shark is a struggle on a 12wt but not too bad on a 14wt would imagine it would be the same or more difficult for salmon shark
