Seychelles, though I presume production costs would have to be suitably extreme.

Don't think anyone's done a tv show or movie about the fishing there, and perhaps the cost is the reason, but for sheer 'extremeness' it's got to be up there.

Best of luck.

"Found this on the net: Minimum Aperture: f/32; approx. 105-315mm for APS DX format DSLR. Is this fast enough or can be ASA compensated? Found this on the web: The great news about digital is that the fast ISOs usually excuse you from the need for an expensive f/2.8 lens. The f/4 - 5.6 lenses ...

Loads of good stuff here to get me thinking even more - my c£600 was for the camera and a lens to get me going. Much as I appreciate nice kit, I think my wife would notice if £6,000 disappeared for a leica lens :) although it would probably get my dream of becoming a professional trout bum off to a...

Great stuff Graeme. Thanks for that. Amazing detail on the side scan. Got to try this, though I fear I'll spend too much time staring at scan and not looking where I'm going! :)

Nice brace there Graeme! Great scrappers and tasty too. Really interested in your use of the fish finder, and amazed at how compact the side scan system is now, would love to see some more screen shots. Is it a matter of trial and error working out what is structure and what is fish, or is it fairl...

You have to love bonefish that will take permit flies with abandon.

This fish was taken cruising a mangrove shoreline in about four inches of water. Heavy crab pattern a few feet in front of it and Wham!

Just returned from Ascension Bay after a very relaxing week with my ever tolerant and darling wife and thought I'd share some of the better IMHO photos. I'm trying to move away from the usual grip and grin photos of myself, so any opinion on general style would be appreciated. ----------- "Sma...

Love the bluefin shot skeg! Never thought I'd see the rod wraps on an NRX match anything in nature. Demon rod and demon fish. Awesome.

Too cruel Pete! I'm stuck in the office dreaming. :D Best of luck.

Totally agree on the SWFF thing. Can't beat a big wild fish running hard.

Tight lines to you all.

Great stuff Gilly. I'm based in India at the moment and literally pulling my hair out at somewhere to saltwater fly fish that has any fish (India doesn't, not even the Andaman's). This is literally awesome!! Like James, I had heard that in the Maldives all fishing inside the reefs was banned, excep...
