There's no eye? It looks like the wire has been stamped down flat with a hole punched in. Was thinking it was pretty clever manufacturing.

Been using this bobber lately in the river (foam ball with rubber band) . The post seems gimmicky but does give better indication, particularly the point where the nymphs actually achieve depth. Damn Jeroen! How bad do you not want to hook the fish that eats one of those? :D Hell, I want to eat one...

where we used to pick them from a local cricket pitch. Have just recently heard that a lot of the public parks and gardens in Washington and Oregon are fertilizing with fungicides now to keep exactly that from happening. Doesn't due for a bunch of hippies to be wandering around out front of the cap...

Flash Skirts or wraps?

Hey all, Looking for a technique tip here for flies that have a flash skirt all around the shank, sort of a flash skirt. Currently I'm taking my bundle, flatten it, then halve it around the thread, spread it out as best I can then make a loose wrap, then spread it around as best I can before tighte...

For a while Rio sold this thin wire coated with a neon yellow floating material (I think they called it Kahuna indicator). You can nip a short section and twist it around your leader wherever and it stays put as long as you don't tear your line out of the water with a lot of force. It's sort of lik...

I was in the outlet store and saw patagonia stormfront backpack that looked simple and good, but was gone when I returned (too much for me at full price). Kinda of glad I don't live in Rainland and need vs want this.

Several of us here have used the Ortleib AquaZoom bag (myself included). You can search this forum for ortleib and find some threads. It'll hold a body with a medium / small zoom and is definitely waterproof if you've sealed and rolled it. Lars mentioned once that his body wont fit w/ a battery pac...

I was thinking an egg hook or octopus hook are usually heavy wire, but they don't seem to be offered that small. Seems to leave only something like the TMC2457 curved hook which is heavy wire but with a down eye.

I fish one on my 6wt TCX, and yes it has a very strong turnover. The tip is too strong for dries without significant leader change; it needs heavy or bushy flies to keep for crashing or slapping. Overhead can feel a little heavy (too heavy on a weaker slower rod?) but it rollcasts nicely. It's stif...

Our stocked rainbows also pale in comparison to the resident population. Might just also be a slightly different strain. Rainbows seem to come in all kinds of coloration. Light red shading, broad pink band, sharp brick red line. I also wrote it off to strains, figured browns would be the same.

It's working better is slow water than my olive intruder thing, not as well swinging. Far less hangups dead drifting.

I have a big pack of Owner #1's (shoot me a pm with your address and I'll mail some off). Lot of different jig hooks available here in the all tackle store.
