Further clarification, i am only talking thermals (first layer), not any other layer, i am welcome to the idea that a fleece, and shell like a gortex should be worn, thats just dumb otherwise. No i am only talking about the thermal underwear (long-johns). Not a huge advocate of the woolen jumper......

Neoprene has Hydrophobic qualties on both sides (inside and out), it may be somewhat warmer however, i find wearing alternate layers i can control my heat regulation somewhat better should i need to... The other draw back to Neoprene is drying time, it can take some time for the Neoprene to dry out...

Recently been fishing, involved standing in water for prolonged periods of time, so some form of thermal gear was required, i reached the conclusion that "POLY PROP WAS FOR BUMS" and that wool thermals were better.....my opinion was based on my experience with fine merino wool.. The Merin...
