Would the 5/6 kill it Rich? I'm casting one of those on a Helios 10' #8 single hander at the moment and it takes it just fine, quite a nice thing to play with. The Power Spey is a long way outside of the grain window for that rod. Don't buy one of those. The head on the Rio Switch Line is around 55 feet long, if you are going to strip

I'm with Ben, you need a longer rod.

Depending how long a line you're going to fish you might get by with a Switch line. If you're fishing beyond that then you might want to look at a DT. Explain retrieve without stripping?
