Morsie,
I may be mistaken but on Mel's Essence DVD there are a couple of snippets of Jim casting. Granted they are very short but there he is throwing a fabulous long legged set of railroad tracks.
He as well as Ritz are casters I would dearly like to see more, any, footage of.
Craig

.... yeah, about that Ethics thingy : It was really quite simple and straight forward decent what should have been done but evidently PGreenlee can do what ever the fck he wants and what he did was drop trou' and leave a big ol' pile of steaming crap on the FFF. He should have done this - a simple,...

Seems like a very complicated excuse for not learning how to cast! I don't see it as complicated - rather simple actually. ... but isn't this our job, to correct the wrongs that have been put in their minds ?! :D Other things that bug me about the whole over-lining thing: - That rod designers don't...

So how do you know if they're all going to appear 80 ft away or sneak up from the side and appear at only 20 feet? I'm betting if you have the light line for long tarpon shots they'll appear right under your nose and if you're super gunned with the 15 weight for those really close range fish, they ...

There is a fundamental error here Bill. If you're fishing close you don't use a heavier line, instead you use a narrower casting arc. Cheers, Paul Paul, That's one way to get it done and the one I too prefer but Bill is also correct. There are many fishermen out there that do as he says - especiall...
