Frank I would be very surprised if there is any true delayed rotation as you are defining it..Thats why I said "In Theory'' in my first post. I would bet that there is some slight forward movement of the wrist early in the forward cast even though the caster thinks he is 'delaying' rotation. H...

In theory delayed butt rotation allows close to maximum tip speed at the time the line is released.In practice if youre over 60 overly stretched tendons most likely result.

Good stuff Pete, I saw some big bonefish last March in water that must have been 5 to 8 feet and I had nothing heavy enough to get down to them.

Locally here on the east coast of the US giant tuna are harvested right up to the quota every year.. Most of these giants are then sold to Japanese markets.. Yet we are allowing it."Sport fishermen" with a commercial license sell many of these fish.
