Hi Snake, No Tailing Loop while casting into the wind? Could be because the wind is helping your backcast to open out properly. When not casting into the wind try to let your backcast have a bit more time or as Paul said drift - it does help to smooth the transition from back cast to forward cast. ...

Above New Alresford it is the Alre. It is the Candover brook, the Tichborne and the Arle that join west of New Alresford to form the Itchen.
I have fished the Alre above New Alresford at Western Court.

How good is the case for wind farms?
I was told that beause wind is unreliable you need some alternative power source as a backup for when the wind isn't blowing or is that just a load of hot air.

I watched Paul do that and it is almost as if the line sags to the ground and then as the end of the line disappears into the distance and can go no further the line tightens up and the section on the ground lifts back up and all is in a straight line parallel to the ground. That is now even more c...

Wasn't there a video on this site of someone hauling with their foot.

Craig - those figures are impressive without a haul.

Well said. There has to be shared responsibility for the resource. There has to be financial commitment from all water users. Some guidelines are needed for all parties. A fisherman cannot ruin the sport of another user by his actions short of actaul assault - which I do not recomment. A river craf...

How about a fibreglass eating bacterium, better make that bacteria – don’t think one on it’s own would do it. Failing that a decent laser at the right height would be quite handy…

Your suffering and degradation is very useful I am getting worried here - as Bush Snr. is a fly-fisherman and fishes in the UK do you think he may get junior to invade the UK to free us from this oppression. Just thought - no he wouldn't do that as he then wouldn't be able to fish here as the water...

In the cup of coffee question. How far does the cup travel - that has to be measured from when the cars start to decelerate, not from when the cup leaves the car. Why can't we have tea? All the questions about fast/slow stop seem to miss a point (to a non physicist) or maybe they don't and I do :( ...
