Thats the iedal, but in fact my 7-8 boxes holds a bit more patterns :???: alf, amazing how that works isnt it ?! i once went to the dove with a friend, and we took ...

Buy a Snowbee XS-ED and you'll get consistent 100's, I'm getting further with that, not just a few feet. I'm aware that I said it was cheating in another thread, don't care, changed my mind now :D Hope to get a new MED soon as this is the standard kit for now, Never had the line hit the rod on the ...

scott s4 fly rods - info and advice

there seems to be a huge amount of respect on here for both sage and scott rods. i know sage rods fairly well, but have been told by my parents that swapping a kidney for a z-axis isnt great value in the long term... scott, i am embarassed to say, are a company i know little about. checked the web ...

Hi Eric, I'm sceptical about this stuff - I had a sample of Fireline Crystal - very weak @ knots - compared to normal mono and much more visible under water. And the advertised 0.04 mm looked to me rather like 0.18mm. But perhaps you have some success with it, good luck. I'm fishing such small nymp...

Hi andy_with_a_rod That's a great username... You mention the R. Dove, I assume that's in Derbyshire. I am an ex-pat of the E. Midlands now based on the North coast of Ireland. As a family in the 70's, we travelled to Derbyshire 6-8 times a year and only last week, I was sent a postcard of Dovedale...

greys grxi has been very popular in our shop all season, though the biggest success at that price (exchange rate willing) has been with scierra ic3 rods. very very easy on beginners, will learn with you, so to speak, and decent distances and loops are attainable.

jo and will, thankyou both! i usually fish nymphs under a big old bright pink klinkhamer, so am not averse to using some kind of indicator. the uni knot seems to be a dead cert by the looks of it, and really easy to tie which i appreciate! the only issue i do have is that i would like to vary the d...
