Buy a Snowbee XS-ED and you'll get consistent 100's, I'm getting further with that, not just a few feet. I'm aware that I said it was cheating in another thread, don't care, changed my mind now :D Hope to get a new MED soon as this is the standard kit for now, Never had the line hit the rod on the ...

Hi Eric, I'm sceptical about this stuff - I had a sample of Fireline Crystal - very weak @ knots - compared to normal mono and much more visible under water. And the advertised 0.04 mm looked to me rather like 0.18mm. But perhaps you have some success with it, good luck. I'm fishing such small nymp...

Hi andy_with_a_rod That's a great username... You mention the R. Dove, I assume that's in Derbyshire. I am an ex-pat of the E. Midlands now based on the North coast of Ireland. As a family in the 70's, we travelled to Derbyshire 6-8 times a year and only last week, I was sent a postcard of Dovedale...

jo and will, thankyou both! i usually fish nymphs under a big old bright pink klinkhamer, so am not averse to using some kind of indicator. the uni knot seems to be a dead cert by the looks of it, and really easy to tie which i appreciate! the only issue i do have is that i would like to vary the d...
