Wow! That's frightening. I've got a 15 year old bottle of Dave's Insanity Sauce that is used 1 drop at a time. It's still 1/2 full!

Only 180,000 units :kungfo:

Was just reading the 1Dx specs (unreleased) and they've stayed at 18.1 mp sensor. Isn't there something about sensor resolution over-running glass quality now?

I thought of you right off! :D

Can you charge a Mac via USB? I'm guessing not even close, but perhaps an iPad if the USB pushes enough juice. I think it would considering this is designed for charging rather than as a com line.

Not for sale yet. Well... they haven't shipped any yet.

Camp Stove --> USB power

Check out this Biolite camp stove that pushes out power to USB device (phones, gps, etc)! Pretty cool  2 LB. Looks like they're starting to take orders.

Closest I've cast is the XP#4 10' which is very much a high-stick trout nymphing rod. Very firm butt section, and a tip that doesn't droop much when held out horizontally leading a line. Most casting I did with it was short range so I don't think I ever flexed into the lower two sections. I would e...

That's some gorgeous hardware  The Turks and Peruvians at my office would love your style cramming a US cup into a tablespoon! Paul goes hardcore with the underpants, but socks work just as well with a different muskiness :D Friend came back from Belize with a simple one cup strainer that loo...

Before / After pics are pretty lame, so here's some other AL samples I experimented on. I'm thinking there should be some handy marine applications.

Dried fast (full cure is a week)
Near invisible (could only see on the foil at certain angles)
Very water repellent
Near zero thickness

Aluminum Sealer

Recently finished touching up a spool, and used something new. Had to seal and touch-up a handful of hefty bites into the rim that went well through the anodize. I was going to use some paint or nail polish but talked to one of the machinists I know. He suggested a product called Coricone 1700 (a n...

Possibly. May be way too much. We're talking a donated (auctioned for a cause) FF day on the water. Will go with something like that if they're interested in an intro day. But it could be a keep em happy, interested, and hopefully onto a few fish kinda thing. Going to try to push a grass session be...

Quickstart Lesson

I've got to give a couple quick start (guide to beginner?) first day out lessons. Was thinking brief run through the tackle, glasses, line downwind, then simple pickup-laydown, and roll... Do you do anything different or take any shortcuts?

Haven't caught a ton of fishes with very little sw (zero bonefish which sound great!), but my favorite last year was definitely rainbow to my surprise. Dialed into the wild ones in the river and they were just thick shouldered, healthy and fierce. A beautiful strong something is much better than a ...

Rich, That sand hill is about 60 miles away. Hell with hiking it though! BTW, catching the front edge sounds really brutal. I'd take that board back though, get one with a rounded nose ;) Paul, 2 boards for hard stuff, 1 board for soft stuff :p Dude, you should work your turns. Lots of turns, man. ...
