Well, another Sexyloops Scottish Gathering has been and gone.
I'm sure for some the weather was a talking point..... from really warm sunny conditions on Thursday to freezing conditions, rain, sleet and snow
My time at 'loops this year was cut short when, very sadly, my Mother-in-Law passed away on Friday morning.
With family matters to attend to, I left Friday before lunchtime but I managed to come back again on Sunday morning to join in with the activities and catch up with folk who hadn't been around 1st thing Friday.
Camera time was a bit limited but I did manage to get a few photos taken on Thursday and Friday morning, a few of which I've added below:
Thursday morning and the troops gather for a cast on the Don. Other than a tan or two, not much was caught.
The wire netting pool (about the best pool immediately below the Colquhonnie) get's some serious attention.....
Matt covers the sun warmed waters of the sunny Don.
Friday.... and Matt gets Ben and I on his 'case' in the now snow/rain/sleet cooled waters of the Don in pursuit of the elusive Salmon. That's a story someone else can tell.
Matt - on a personal note mate..... you covered that water beautifully, pleasure to watch. I really hope you didn't get too tired of getting growled at being told 'FFS stand f*cking still'
I'm already looking forward to next years gathering
Hamish

Well Hamish I went back to the same beat and hooked up with another salmon in the same pool with the same result.
I think these fish will be the death of me, last roll of the dice today.
Thanks to everyone for making me feel very welcome, and providing me with no sleep, a Salmon addiction and the need for even more fishing gear .
Mike Barrio as soon as you have some more of those slx lines in stock please let me know sensational.
Well i am off fishing with this voice in my head telling me to stand still i wonder if I will listen .
Thanks again from the bandy leggered, flat nosed Aussie.

Yes...and I would have won it... but I was made to cast in a blizzard...and the hospital have said this morning that I shouldn't do that sort of thing in future unless I wear an Egglestones "Electric" Gentlemans Support....which is very expensive.... :glare:
