Beautiful spot Eric. Sounds like you had a fair bit of action despite not landing one. I get the impression there's a lot of no fish fishing with Steelhead!
Do steelhead behave similar to browns that run to the sea? There seems to be significant differences in the approach, not least seatrout fishing is primarily a night sport! Also do you know if they hang around the coast like browns or shoot off on a journey like salmon?

Yeah, I was glad to have moved fish for sure! Special regs that ban all weight either in the fly or tippet, basically no nymphing. I'm certain some people do very well at times, but from those I talked to there were more fishless days than the landed.
