I absolutely agree that longer term assistance is necessary, however a large flytying marathon with top name tiers and a X-mas raffle I think would help give this exposure. Another problem we have is that sponsorship can take up to six months to realise and we need to act now. Apart from which I think it's very doable and should be fun

I didn't say you shouldn't do the fly tying marathon, it is actually a good idea. But thinking of long term arrangements should be good too. Huchen is an underexposed fish among fly fishers. This will make funding difficult.

Big chemical companies (how contradictory this sounds) might be the ticket for 'adopting' the programme. Sandoz polluted the Rhine and then cleaned it up again. companies like that are doing their utmost for a good and sustainable public image.

I will try to collect 1000 flies from 20 tiers. (20x50), need other 30 tiers.
