Bernd's POD

Bernd, there appear to be more sea-trout on your POD than were caught all week. How is this possible? :???:

Cheers, Paul :p

Cool fish. The pike look great. I'd love to organise a trip out there.
Out of interest, how saline is the water the pike live in? Are they exactly the same species that we have in the uk? We don't get them hanging out in estuaries etc over here do we?

The water is too salty for pike, Snake. They don't live there.

You know... keep your expectations at bay. :glare:

The problem is that it is easy to have modest expectations when you drive a couple of hours to get to a fishing spot. Isn't that easy when you take two flights and four train combinations to get there (and the same for returning).
In the first case not catching fish isn't a big problem; in the latter you need to catch some fish to avoid frustration.

Actually I managed to land a Grand Slam: Sea trout, cod and pike, smaller ones though.
Tarpon might be possible but yet my casts do not get long enough to hit the other side of the planet ;).
