It was meant as an exclamation of surprise and dismay Bernd.
Bloody Hell, bugger it, and bollocks all vary in meaning depending on the context they are used in. If a fish comes off I may throw the rod down in disgust while shouting 'bloody buggering bollocks' or I may just tut, it depends on how much I wanted the fish.

Well, bloody buggering bollocks, Will - I'll miss your pages.
Good Heavens, it's not particularly good that you are not wrting frontpages anymore.
That covers my feelings, I think.

Great flycasters don't think straight - they track straight.....
If it moves - and shouldn't, use duct tape...
If it's stuck - and should move, use WD40...

Thanks guys,
that indeed helps to understand.
When I ask my dictionary about the meaning of: "Bugger it." It offers me a translation into German, which I would translate back into english with: "I don't care."
So if Paul sais:
"Bollocks = bugger it, which is what Mike said, he just shortened it to "Bugger".
Then my dictionary seems to need a (in the) campfire-lesson, too!

p.s.: Will, wouldn't that be a great topic to come back with at least one more fp?
