New Board testing

Hi guys,

I need some of you to login to http://www.sexyloops.co.uk/theboard/index.php
so we can play around with the posting, how the Board looks and so on.

Let me know if you have any ideas with regards colours schemes and so on. I think we're about 99% there and you can directly upload avatars from your existing URL.

When we're happy with the interface, I'll lock this Board down, make it read only and we'll move over there. I'll put a link somewhere leading to the old board. I'm continually surprised that this one still functions and has not been compromised. The new software appears much slicker and the search function is far superior. I've tried to keep the feel in the same vein as this Board.

Sorry I can shift usernames to the New Board - we have no access to passwords and many of the email addresses used to register are out of date. And I can't migrate the Board database over safely. But the advantages of the new software (which works well on mobiles) and the site security which goes with regular software updates outweighs the disadvantages. I'm also optimistic that we won't have problems with spammers using the automated registration process. If there are problems we'll go back to approving memberships one by one as I am doing at the moment.

Anyway any suggestions would be most useful!

We have 4000 members. Hopefully I don't have to register them all, but if I do then no worries. And yes PMs no problems, we haven't shut this Board yet, just trying out the new one, and I won't close PMs for a long time.

This forum software is 7 years old and the company who produced them have collapsed. I cannot now assign new member groups to new forums, so it's dying. Open the way it is now, leaves it vulnerable to attack and it's only a matter of time until some school kid decides to kill all ikonboards. These things need updating every few months, not left for seven years.

Building and testing the board structure takes about two weeks. Sexyloops has had five Boards in its history. We lost a major one in its entirety, I don't want this one to experience the same fate.
