Middlemarch Group Casting Instruction Day - $700

Post by Bob Wyatt »

I'll just start this thread to keep the Middlemarch Day auction separate from the UK day.

Paul has offered this terrific opportunity to improve your technique and do something real to help relieve the landmine situation in Bosnia.

Group Fly Casting Instruction Day with Paul Arden

Middlemarch, Otago, New Zealand (January 2007-exact day to be confirmed)

Bids (US Dollars)

Bob Wyatt $100
Daniel $100
Mark $100
JohnC $100

Guys,

I reckon we're thinking it should happen around the Clave sometime, but it's not much good trying to do it on the Saturday. Paul will be racing on Friday. Maybe the Sunday? Maybe two morning sessions - Saturday and Sunday - then fishing?
Paul, what do you think?

You call it; you're buying! Friday could also work too (since I'm the only man 'round here).

:p
It's an exploration; bring flyrods.

Well, if you're not tearing around the tussock country you can teach us girls to cast on Friday 19th.

How exciting!
Now, what to wear!

We don't pay Paul. We make a donation to the landmine clearance organisation. :)

Paul is donating the casting instruction.

How about Friday for fishing / the rally, Saturday for some fishing, fly tying, Carl's movies, making friends, telling stories, having a few beers etc and Sunday for recovery and casting lession? ???

On second thoughts, that sounds far too organised :glare: How about we just take it as it comes? I will still be donating the cash even if I can't make the whole lession.
