Understanding Spey Lines

Post by Simon Gawesworth »

For anyone that is slightly (or totally) confused about spey lines - when to use what, the difference between Scandi, Skagit and traditional Spey, and other things Spey line'ish, I have updated the "Understanding Spey Lines" document on the RIO web site. It is pretty long, but hopefully can help a few people.

Hey Pete

You are welcome. It has been a work in progress, and I am sure there is still plenty of work to do to get it simpler and clearer!

The only problem I now have is trying to source some of your double handed lines in Europe.
Any ideas?

Where in particular, the UK? If so, Guide Fly Fishing are RIO's distributor and can give you an idea of which shops in the UK carry what products. You can reach their customer service people on 01977 681300.

Cheers
Simon
