If I make a Snap Lift Switch, I can choose to whether to throw it straight, or outside (like a Single Spey), or inside (like a Snake Roll). But since the cast is neither a Single Spey nor a Snake Roll and because every element of the cast is the same apart from the direction change then it's the same cast, for me. If I throw an o/h cast left or right it doesn't become a new cast.

Haven't I shown you the Snapped Snake Roll, Marc? It keeps a low profile sharp V-loop and is great if you have to throw into the wind.

Cheers, Paul

The forward cast isn't from that set up, it appears. I think Lee is right.

Hi Rich

Thats what Im seeing mate, one setup shot and two deliveries.

The anchor behaviour in the leader either in real time or frame by frame is what I think gives it away..

The angler wont be fussed, it was an excellent delivery and it looked like their having a great time out there..!

Cheers

That's why I was asking if it was only on my computer :) .
Paul your analyses make sense anyway!
Always something to learn when reading other instructor's analyses. Even if the cast never existed :D :p .

I mean come on: Arguing about a cast over 850 posts and then finding out the cast never existed, where if not here would that happen? :D

Hi Paul

The leader/fly just about leave the water from what looked like an good position on the 1rst delivery. The leader/fly was pointing out stream at the time the anchor fully turns.

then it looks like a second delivery, this time with the anchor further upstream?

the leader and fly looked like it was leaving the water after emerging from a position of which the fly was pointing back at the bank.

Cheers

There is nothing better I find than arguing about something that never existed. I wouldn't have it any other way!

And for the record Bernd, I found your analysis of this imaginary cast quite excellent.
