It was grim, grim and wet, grim, wet and windy. I'm sitting in the airport trying to dry off. Apparently the tail end of a hurricane is passing over.
Having said that it was a good day, nice people and good, if soggy, facilities. I was beaten by nearly everyone which cheered Ben up no end. I must stop talking about practice and actually go out and do some. However, there were some good casters there, including Hamish who is a bandit, he won the B100 class.

Thoroughly enjoyable day. My first ever casting competition and felt like a novice despite my 35 years of fishing when exposed to some of the tackle!
Thoroughly enjoyable despite the foulest condtions we have had in Central Scotland for months and I learned a hell of a lot - thanks guys. A more friendly and approachable group would be hard to meet.

Great day today ....... a tad wet and windy, but great company and some pretty awesome casting considering the conditions!
It was good to meet up with friends that I haven't seen for a while and to put faces to names of many more!
A big thanks to all those that made this event happen.
Best wishes

I was down briefly with the boy to watch. Pretty impressive stuff especially in that wind and rain. I was hoping to say hello to a few folks, but the boy had other plans. I took a few pics which I will post later when i get home.
Alberto offered to give me a lesson which was really generous, which under normal circumstances i would have jumped at but couldn't as I had my hands full. Next time I hope to get involved.

Really enjoyed the day - great to meet people from the board and others not on the board.
Some great casting on display despite the conditions. Has really given me the bug to get out practising more
First time trying the T120, all I can say is that it is a beast. Surprisingly delicate touch needed to cast it, if delicate is the right word!!!
Thanks to everyone for organising and coming along to make it what it was. I look forward to the next one!
And thanks to Mike H, Mike M and Ben for the tips and pointers they gave me.

Really enjoyed the day, despite the weather which was a tad 'brisk' at times
Wish I'd spoken to a few more folk, but someone had to go and do the measuring - besides, was nice meeting up with some old friends.
Some really nice casting and having flung a T38 for the first time I now need one of those outfits in my armoury.... just silly good fun Didn't manage a chuck with the T120, but that appeals to my sense of humour. Next time.
Well done to all who organised, will look forward to next years event and who knows.... may make it to another BFCC event elsewhere next spring.
