Happy New Year all
Time to start a new photography thread and share some fantastic, interesting, fishy and funny photos from around the world!
My last fishing fishing trip of 2010 went to Louisiana, so here's a shot from there to get the ball rolling.
Cheers,
Jan

Happy new year!
Was out fishing on the first day of the new year. No fish, but a beautiful winter day! :pirate

Yep we had some spectacular storms, its that time of the year and you expect it but at least when the storms hit everything cools down. We were there on spring tides and planned to fish the coast and offshore more rather than the rivers for barramundi. The hard core barra guides complained about the tides but we had some great fishing along the coast and also managed to catch some barra. Not the numbers of the year before when we fished the neap tides but but we managed 43 species which was up from 33 the year before. I had a bad case of the dropsies and seemed to lose many of the big fish I hooked, usually after a minute of the fight which really pissed me off but that's the way it goes sometimes.
Next year we'll fish half the week of neaps and the other half the first of the springs. Its a great week in an incredible place.
Found some these on the deep reefs, The blood on Andre's shirt is his own as he discovered the wonders of Giant Herring meets direct drive reel. :O
When we had enough sun we found plenty of these along the beaches.
The beach fishing was what we really looked for this year but heavy cloud, storms and some onshore winds on the days when the tide was good made it difficult.
