No one else around to take a picture of me and the fish.
Then take a picture of you and let the fish go!
Sorry Kid but that type of Picture will raise a bunch of hackles around here and around me for sure.
There are a large # of vids on how to photo fish correctly, when you are alone then expect to get a thumb or two in the photo!!
Right Morsie..
It all comes down to educmacation .. and of course your morals and standards..
As in the army I have never had a bad day fly fishing, some damn uncomfortable ones but never a bad one.
Everybody must believe in something and I believe in Fly Fishing and Tying and believe I will

Lol....I was wondering what you where getting at with your first question of why I "put a beuty like that on the sand and stones". I couldn't figure out if you were asking why I didn't get a pic with me and the fish or if you were asking why it was on the bank before I released it.
Well just so we're clear......I killed that fish. While it was laying on said sand with said stone to the back of the skull. Later that day he met the fillet knife and a hot bbq.
I'll skip looking up those videos about how to photo a fish correctly if you don't mind. I catch fish, release fish, and eat fish....I have little interest in the finer points of photographing them.

Dylan, if I had a dead fish to photograph, I'd be looking for something more that just another dead-fish-next-to-a-flyrod photo. Look at the fish. It's beautiful! Find something about the fish that piques your intrest and photograph that. The fish is dead, you've got time, take care and get some great photos.
As an example, here's what I'd be looking at

I actually think that the fish, rod and stony background is a nice shot. Sure it's a dead fish, but many people do eat fish, and better to eat them dead than alive! Hell I've even started eating fish again, following a ten year break. The first article I wrote, was published around 1996 http://www.sexyloops.com/articles/article1.shtml (and probably not a very good one for a number of rivers) and contained this shot:
So let's get a little bit of balance in this, after all we are all flyfishermen and therefore brothers. Apart from which maybe Dylan is very ugly.
Thanks, Paul

Great example of looking at a situation with an artistic eye!Kakahi wrote:Dylan, if I had a dead fish to photograph, I'd be looking for something more that just another dead-fish-next-to-a-flyrod photo.
