Had not heard about that one Charlie,
I do believe that the locals on the Island were trying to get a cull approved but international media is not going to let that happen

The problem is that the Koala was not on the island initially and was introduced from the mainland,

As a result, there has been a population explosion and the flora is diminishing at an alarming rate

There has been attempts at making them sterile but not sure how that is going
