iphone accessory - What the hell were they thinking?

Post by Jeroen »

Check this out: iphone DSLR
It is smart, but how practical is this? The heaviest part of a DSLR is the lens (in many cases). And the bit advantage of an iphone as a camera is that you can put it in your shirt pocket. if you bring a lens, you might as well bring your DSLR and if you don't have a DSLR you will have to buy a lens to make this work. I cannot understand the 'why' of this accessory. But maybe I am not Geeky enough to understand.

Cheers,
Jeroen

Or... why not get a steady-cam for your iphone.

I don't know how good the optics are in an i phone but that would be the limiting factor. Wouldn't matter how good a lense you put on to it, it would be no better than the lense on the i phone.
As you've said ridiculous.

Cheers,
C.
