Hi Torsten
I'm still impressed by the model. I'd be interested to see how much difference small increments of line stiffness make on loop size.
regards
Vince

Hi Torsten,
Just an observation -
This is something I've seen when using bungee cord to "cast" a line so that I could get a controlled repeatable cast. This worked very well until I applied too much force/tension in setting up the cast and then the line would immediately form waves as soon as I released it. With less tension the line cast beautifully and with more tension the line formed waves as soon as I released it. My thoughts are that the excess force/tension caused the line to stretch and when I released it it began to contract and this resulted in the waves that I was seeing. This was in line with an observation that Bruce Richards once made about stretchy lines that had experimented with. When a distance caster like Rajeff applied excess power to the line it would form waves during the cast. A less stretchy line didn't have this problem.
