a group of girls approached me and teased me about it before i went to NZ. they didnt find it quick so funny when i cracked one of them on the ass at 60 feet :p

- Not much, you are the first.

I seem to get hassle when I'm practicing on water more than on grass!

Well not to make a light hearted thread take a different tack... But I've had a lot worse than that since. I draw the line at being threatened though, which three people did the other day. I can understand the odd remark on the grass, but on water!? Either way, the tcx tube stays with me just in case. Or I'll just start driving up to the posh part of town and practice by the yacht club!

The best response to "have you caught any yet mate" that I've ever heard went like this. (Apparently it happened in South Africa so you can apply the accent yourself and it gives the picture more detail).

"Do you realise that while you're standing there asking me this stupid question your wife is probably at home fucking the gardener".

You probably want a Glock in your pocket when you say it.

I've never tried this myself as I return nearly all of my fish, but I've often thought about taking a fish with me, and when asked by some wit "Caught anything mate ?"
hold up the fish and say "Yes, the dew brings them up from the river".
