If all we had to cast with was a fence post, how would we match the angle to the bend in the post ?

OK...admittedly its a bit difficult imagining casting a fencepost...might be a bit unwieldy...

... a broomstick would be fine, or Aitors non-bending rod...no bend to confuse things anyway....

I've never cast a fence post but I've had a go with a broomstick and the non-bendy rod....they're both bitchin' hard on the wrist but you can cast them.

I'm not trying to make a point, I'm asking a question.

You can definitely cast them and rotating helps, its just that they don't bend, so, how do you match an angle to the bend of something that doesn't bend ?

Rotating helps, that all it does, it helps ? I know your not trying to make a point but I am, as it directly bears tip path as it goes to loop formation as translating a broomstick would have no impact on tip path whatsoever. Would you agree with that observation or not ?

So since the broomstick cannot bend Mark What must you match. Translation to acceleration ? You feelin lucky today

No, I think you would have to be totally barking mad to agree with that.

Are you having a problem with this question Frank ? How do you match the angle to the bend in a rod that doesn't bend ? Its quite a straightforward question really..
.. and you can get very tidy loops from a non bendy rod....
