Using the Board
Check out these 2 help buttons that show the available options.
You can choose extra emoticons (smilies) not shown on the left.
There's a lot of extra goofy stuff in the iB code box but it shows how things need to be.

Bold, Italics and Underline
There are 2 ways to apply text formating.
1) Probably easiest way is to type what you'd like to format, highlight it (by holding down the mouse button and sweeping over the text), then hit the format button (Bold, Italics or Underline)
2) Hit one of the formatting buttons to 'turn it on', type your text, hit the same button to 'turn it off'.
Properly formated text should look have a letter in brackets signifying the start of the special format, the text, then the same letter preceded by a slash '/' signifying to stop the formating.

Creating Links (the http:// button)
Links are clickable texts that direct/tie/link... to other web pages
1) Copy the web address that you'd like to tie to by highlighting the address from your browser's address window and copy it.
2) In you post, hit the link (http://) button
3) In the first popup window (the complete URL), paste in the address. The address needs http:// but only once. It's in there by default, but you copied it in step 1 so delete it or paste over the top.
4) In the second popup window (the title), enter the text to display
(Note: if you have text in your post already highlighted when you hit the link button, it will automatically skip enter that text and skip this step)
Example:
Web Address: http://www.sexyloops.com/movies/
Link Title: Link to the Movies Directory
Properly formatted text below
Becomes...

Posting Pictures!
To post a picture, you prepare your picture then attach it to your post.
1) Preparing your image
The Board lets you post a couple common digital image (picture) types such as .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, and .png (no .bmp's), but there is one important rule, the file size. Pictures must be less than 150kb in size.
-To find a picture's size in windows, right-click on the picture and select properties.
-If your picture is too big, you need to edit it on your side with some sort of image editing/graphics software. Most cameras come with software, so check there. You can also download free image editors.
(This isn't the best way, but if you have WinXP, there's a resize wizard built into Outlook. Right-click on the picture and select 'Send-to'>'Mail Recipient'. It will ask if you want to make pictures smaller and give a couple options. After you select OK, it will start an email with the reduced sized pictures. Drag them out of the email to your desktop or a folder. Then you can cancel the email. Check the size, they should be less than 150kb.)
-Save/Place the 150kb picture in a place you can find it.
2) Attaching the picture to your post
Now that you have your picture file, you attach it to your post.
-At the bottom of the post window, there is a bar titled 'File Attachments'. It lists the file size limit, has a entry box, and a 'Browse...' button.
-Select the 'Browse...' button and use the 'Choose File' navigator to select the picture and pick 'OK'. You should see the file location pop into the File Attachments window.
-Do not 'Preview Post' button. It will clear out the attachment for some stupid reason.
-Choose 'Post New Topic', and there ya go!
1 attachment is allowed per post. If you want to post more than one picture, just make another post.
Good luck and try it here if you'd like to test it!

Resizing Images
OK so you got this 1600 megapixel camera, you've got the pictures on your harddrive and they're gigantic. You need to resize them.
Couple ways to do this...
-The software that came with the camera might be able to do it. Check the help (read the fucking manual)
-Get Irfanview, a good free image editing program (skip the google desktop and toolbar offered).
Open the picture, Go to Image > Resize, select a small web size (like 800x600 or smaller), SAVE_AS...

Should be easier than tying a bimini knot!

Upload to an external picture site like photobucket and link to the photos using [ IMG ] and [ /IMG ] tags.

aww wtf! you're right paul, the pics are gone out of the uploads directory! does that thing clean itself out after 2 years?? I'll look but they seem to be purged (nothing in there with that date)
Troutbum,
Yep Chase (wetwading) is right. To put more than one pic in a post you need to host them somewhere else like photo bucket and use the image button. It'll ask for the picture's URL (copied from the hosting site).
Andy,
Yeah I did tweak my avatar. It's a little faded now :p
