Anyone who knows UK water swill be aware of the pitiful state of our Scottish west coast fisheries: Wild salmon and sea trout stocks in the west Highlands and Islands have been decimated by sea lice infestations from salmon farms
The Salmon and Trout Association have launched a petition to demand that the Scottish Government relocate some west coast salmon farms from the migratory routes of wild salmon and sea trout.
Please sign this petition asking the Scottish government that :

All sea-based fish farms are moved away from the estuaries of major wild salmon rivers to reduce the impact of sea lice.

Salmon smolt farms are banned from operating within any wild salmon river system

– it will take less than a minute but just may have an impact on the future of our wild UK stocks.
