Frank - since 95% of YOUR casting is beyond 100 feet does that mean you use translation in 95% of your casts? :p

Use to be a time that was true Hal. Now the numbers are reversed and you can't be a proficient xtreme distance caster if you only devote 5% of your practice time to that aspect of the sport.

Yeah sure 126 feet. But I dropped out of that game a few years back. The form required for xtreme distance casting ironically is somewhat limited to just that task. I work on seeing how far I can cast without looking behind me and on good days hit 110 with some translation added to the stroke.

I never do xtreme distance casting. It's too hard on my shoulder.
