wide angle for a 7D.

Post by peter bear »

Ive got the 7D with the kit lens / 15-85mm. now i have looked at the 10-20mm so far . a mate suggested it might be a bit fuzzy on the sides and said to look at the canon 17-40mm for a better allround lens.
Any options would be great from 7D uses.
Peter.

I have been using the 10-20 for many years and am very happy with it. I know that several other Loopers who are better photographers than I am, use this lens and are very happy with it.
A 17-40 is not really a wide angle zoom, because of the 1.6 crop factor.

Cheers,
Jeroen

Yeah, the Canon 10-22 is real fuzzy, a pretty crap lens actually. Here's a few fuzzy shots from it for you, glad I sold that thing!! :p :D

Gee, you were lucky Jan,
Appears to be not that sharp either,
Time the change over and go the Nikkor 14-24 :)
Regards,
Gary

thanks for all the bad photos fella's, with the crop ratio probably will be about 16-32ish. i reckon i can live with the ''fuzzy edges".
