Yes as far as I'm concerned it is! Otherwise it's just bloody confusing. No doubt some DHD will rename it at some point (they love to do this!).

To setup a backhand anchor position the tip path firsts draws an "e" Bernd. Throw the anchor slightly wide so you can draw it back in.

Snap-Z my arse! It's a Single Spey with a Snap Lift. Invert the lift and you have what? A Snap-e? What happens if we do it twice - on the pickup and the D-loop set-up? Double Snap-e? What if we make a Spap-Z and then a Snap-e? Or a Snap-e and a Snap-Z? A Snap eZ?

Bollocks to that. Its root cast is a Single Spey.

Instructing is about simplification, not reinventing the wheel every time you make a different pickup.

Lumi-line fights at ten paces, after dark, in the Green Zone, would easily sort this out.

Yeah same thread :p

Sorry it annoys me that I and others come up with variations of casts that others then rename as casts in their own right. That's not good instruction; that's just bloody confusing!

I suppose it's our own fault for not drawing the Spey casting family tree.
