Hey WTG man , 300 hrs don't sound long but it sure does take time, my mates in Tex tell me the hardest part is the drug test, so no smoking for 30 days prior !

Nice job Greg. Billy would be proud of you! :whistling:

From what I hear, the CG test is about as rigorous an examination as you can find, as long as you take it from a place that is legit and not just out to get your $ and give away the slip of paper. I think Greg's test had a ridiculously small passing percentage.

Remember - Red:Right:Returning. Oh, wait, the skiff runs in 4" of water. Never mind. :)

Thanks guys! It has been a serious pain in the ass I tell you.

Mark its actually 360 Days on the water. I wish it was only 360 hours!!!

Its pretty amazing that in this day and age you are still required to take all the same testing for 100 ton vessel to run a skiff in a marsh. I love it when I see Coast Guard boats looking at you through Binos and trying to figure a way to board you while poling in 4 inches of water :p

Now I just have to wait on my paper work to process......

Cheers

With all these flyfishing forums out there on the internet, who has time to fish anymore?

Maybe Greg should have gotten a degree in meteorology instead of captains license, eh Pete?

Hey Pete how have you been? Im finishing all the paper work and then I have to wait on CG to process. Winter time when the big fish start to show I hope!

Nice one Matt....if I could only predict this insane weather down here. Maybe you guys should show up when Jan comes back down. At least he brings the good weather with him!

Cheers only 3 hours till Lucys

Figured Lucy's went out of business while you were off studying.

Right. Jan = Good Weather.

Matt
Lucy's probably makes more money when Greg's not there. :glare:

Greg
I've been catching stripers and Atlantic salmon. I would really love to get back to NOLA to try for reds and go to the watering place and of course to meet you again.

In a few weeks I am off to Cape Cod with Dr. Kristensen. Apparently the weather at the moment sucks, they keep getting hit by the tails of tropical storms. I hope the lucky doctor can perform with the weather when we get there.

Maybe we should organise a get together "way down yonder" sometime November or early December. What do you think?

Sounds like a plan Pete! November or December would be great.

Have fun with the Doc. in Cape Cod. Sounds like tons of fun. The east coast is getting its fair share of storms this year. I just pray and hope we have none enter the gulf this year.

Cheers
