Yep just below the pool there looks to be a reasonably straight-forward crossing to an inside bend, but unfortunately when you get to it you find a hole of 8ft, by which point you're committed to going down the rapids. It's very exciting.
If you're feeling less adventurous next time cross 2-300m further downstream at the tailout of a flat pool. It's about thigh deep all the way and perfectly manageable.
Snow. It has been a very wet summer so many chicks perished. We only have wild stocks of pheasant (wild like in New Zealand trout wild). No farmed pheasant shoots like in the UK, as we call it clay pigeons with feathers. It is all hunting on foot point, flush, shoot and retrieve. Birds and hares are having a hard time right now, so they don't need a bunch of people shooting them.
The rest of the country is having trouble getting to work on time.
While wading at Old Bundegi flat in Exmouth with my girlfriend the day before Christmas, we were joined by a rather large hammerhead shark.
We estimated it to be somewhere between 4.5 to 5.5m in length and at the time this pic was taken, the shark was closer to us than we were to the shore.
I would leave a brown chum line anyway..... :kungfo:
There is magic in it. Let the most absent-minded of men be plunged in his deepest reveries - stand that man on his legs, set his feet a-going, and he will infallibly lead you to water, if water there be in all that region.

Stay in a boat, a boat! :p
The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
