Great shots Ben  As well as Peter's incredible tree (and totem pole) climbing skills, I was very impressed with his casting performance. He's only been flycasting for three years!

Cheers, Paul
It's an exploration; bring flyrods.

Yeah, considering who taught him I'm very impressed if he has only been at it three years :p

Saw some awesome casting over the weekend, Stefan, Mike H and all the usual crowd who turn in big shots but there was great casting all round.

Highlights for me were seeing Mike Barrio & Kevin Muir throwing over 100' with several outfits, Simons loops. Tamas' smooth carries, Michael Buchan throwing a long way with most gear he picked up. Kevin Muir taking 3rd place and kicking my arse with the Barrio 3wt outfit. And personally, not getting too badly beaten by Hamish, that is important :D Although I have a suspicion that unless I pull my finger out, I'll be getting a kicking next year!

Really enjoyed the time I spent Spey casting with Mike & Matt. Thanks for the tips mate, some of that Aussie shit is really quite cool :)

Cheers

Ben

Rats Tail almost looking as if he is enjoying a shootout

I'm only happy when I have my sleeves rolled up casting in a blizzard...all you other pro distance chappies can keep your pussy sunshine and gentle breezes...me and the Quebecois know whats what...

...and pack in the Rats Tail stuff man...jeeez...just takes one friggin' Aussie.... :glare: :glare:

Hi Thomas

The GT125 lines are prototypes that we are working on and the Scottish Gathering was a great chance to give them a good workout!

The lines are still under development ;)

Best wishes
Mike

Hi!
I know it’s been 2 months but haven’t had a minute to myself since back home.
Anyway I would like to thank you all for the great time we had in Scotland; it was great meeting you all.
A special thanks’ to Tammas, Mat(doogy), Stefan for teaching me how to cast for distance.
In fact, I don’t know if I should thank you guys because you might have created a monster. :p
Yes I may even have fun with that distance thing.

To Mike Barrio, for the great lines that we’ve tried.
And a special thanks to Ben for the organisation of everything and Paul for initiating all that.

Ho! And thanks to M. heritage for getting us lost on or first road trip to Scotland. No seriously, Nice meeting you Sir. :D
Even if I spent a lot of time struggling with my casting and my English, I had a really good time. I will be back for sure. And Paul, I might even have a plan next time. :p
Cheers!
Simon.

Sorry about that Simon. Some of us are wondering if you caught salmon with those bombers.

Mike
it's casting Jim, but not as we know it, according to EFFA

G'day Simon
It was great to meet and cast with yourself and Martain.
Its also great to hear that you have been working on your distance casting.
Your loops are super smooth and you need to become a distance casting monster.

Thanks for the bombers you guys gave me I haven't used them yet but I will chuck them at some Aussie species and see what happens.
Don't forget the horsey noise it's very important.
Doggy :kungfo:
be nice to your kids they may choose your nursing home
