Sexyloops Rod Professional Series 9ft 6weight - Serial No.1

Post by Paul Arden »

Sexyloops Rod Professional Series 9ft 6weight

Quite simply the finest six weight on the planet (well I think so anyway!). It's taken a year to get right, and will be delivered approx 2 or 3 week of September.

This is serial number 1.

Opening bid somewhere around 500 Euros. Final bid Wednesday 5th September, midnight CET.

Cheers, Paul

I have been casting that rod in Norway and it is one of the best rods I have ever been casting in combination with the 5wt. MED. Love it - well done, Paul!

It's on the stiff side. Besides that it gave me a great response on short to medium length of line as well.
The whole rod felt pretty light.
Paul, any datas available yet? ERN?

This rod is a six weight and designed as such. It's also the competition five weight :p Will upload some photos tomorrow. It's stealth matt and has the best tip recovery I've seen anywhere. CCS data I don't have but will have a go when back at Latohegy

Hi Paul ,
How it looks like when compared to TCR #6 , or to TCR#5 or to David Norwich #5/6 or to Sage One ?
Cheers,

Far far better, dude, absolutely no comparison. It's a bit like the old Norwich but 4 piece and a six weight. There is no better six weight on the planet. And this is edition 1!

OK here are some pictures, note however that these are two of the prototypes. There will be three rods made from this blank:

The Professional 9ft 6weight. Top grade cork, no fly keeper, recoils.
The Competitor 9ft 5weight. Hard single legs.
The Instructor 9ft 6weight. White blank, recoils.

I'll make some measurements this weekend of the blank (no idea how to do this at the moment).

The logo on the prototype is not the logo set for the finished rod, these are next images.
