Mine has to double for transporting waders, boots, flytying kit, camping gear, tri gear, various sex tools and socks as well as fishing gear. 55 litres is not enough.

Two weeks kills me by the way. That's a lot of food!
It's an exploration; bring flyrods.

Gregory packs have a good reputation-I have a Shasta model(discontinued) which is very comfortable. They are US so don't know if that's a problem

Good luck in your search

Very good pack, and it is even water proof :)

Grunde

Hi Grunde,

I hear many of my friends recommending this sack :) . But waterproof? Hard to believe. None of the sacks I have used have been waterproof except the first 5 minutes. Thats why I pack most of the stuff in really waterproof compression bags.

Edit: Bergans is good value for money. Comes with built in rain cover thats large enough to cover sack and pockets.

I bought the Jaguar I linked to in the end. It appears waterproof/ish I guess but I haven't tested it yet!

Hi Alf,

yes it is water proof! I've not used a rain cover on it, and I did even paddle some rough water with the pack strapped to my Alpaca raft this summer. The only (very) small leak I experienced was through the hole where the sliders on the water proof zipper at the bottom of the pack meets (this is not a problem in rain, only if you literally dip the pack in water).

My good friend (Morten who you know) have used the same type of pack for 3 (or 4) years, he have never used a rain cover and he have never had problems.

But off course as the pack gets older I suspect it will at some point need a rain cover...

Cheers,
Grunde

The Berghaus "bio-flex". I've got the 70 ltr. It's a bit heavy but easy on the hips when fully loaded. I think they do a larger 90 ltr also. The one I got came with a rain cover.
