Are breathable waders the best thing mate? Neoprenes are far more durable and they are available fairly cheaply in camo.
Either that or feed the ducks some bread so they come to you then shoot them point blank, be far easier and you'd not have to take those psycho dogs out with you either.
Why Lee? Surely for your purposes you'd be best just to cover them with white polar fibre.
Good idea, but some sheep are black.
It's for a friend who I wildfowl with. Looks like he'll need to keep covering them with mud.
Ta, Lee.
Hi Lee,
I reckon you could dye the waders successfully but I would look out for a cold water dye. Or keep the water fairly cool if using a conventional dye. You could experiment with an old pair of waders or just cut bits off to check results.
If you are out duck shooting let me know so I can get downstream and net out the birds as they float past.
Once I've got the bum fluff off them I'll just need to find a fat women to cook them.
Dave.
In order to do that you have to get through the DWR. Which is what's keeping your waders comfortable, keeping the water away from the membrane. Say you wash all the DWR off and do get to the fabric itself. The next issue is clogging up the pores in the membrane. So don't expect the waders to breathe very well afterwards. Then you need to do a few rounds with water repellent again. In short - could work but hardly worth it.
