GT125 - I like it

Post by James9118 »

I had a session chucking a GT125 today, first time I've had some proper time with it. I'm pretty impressed, it feels a lot more like a MED to me, not heavy like the GT140 on a long carry. Hit some good distances considering it was so cold (helpful wind though). :)

I think it's more stable than the MED, especially under a variety of conditions. In my shootouts it's also gone further too. The RIO Comp I find very unstable, but it certainly pips the MED too. Definitely an improvement in the 140 IMO!

Cheers, Paul

Try the latest issue, Paul.
It is significant better. Adds 2,5m on my carry compared to the old one!

Far more stable than the MED and I can carry more under control, faster in the air than the GT140 and shoots far better too. Also better at straitening a leader at extreme range than any other distance profile line I have used too. Given me my longest most consistent full line casts :)

Cheers

Am not sure, if Paul has the GT125 latest line, James.
We had some prototypes first. I think Paul had one of them, but they weren't as good as the latest ones.
It should be in Autumn orange, not really bright orange though. ;)

Hi guys :)

I am continually working on new coatings and production methods to improve our lines. I changed the coating on the GT125 a few weeks ago from the hi-vis orange to the new Autumn Orange coating ( which is not so bright ) as we are achieving a smoother, slicker and more durable finish with the new coating. All stock is now in the Autumn Orange coating.

I'm getting some pretty awesome customer feedback already on this new coating!

Best wishes
Mike

Thanks guys. We used the (bright) orange 125 for the App. It shows up better on film than the MED. Mind you most of the casting was less than 8m; the screen size is a bit limiting! :)

Looking forward to the latest!

Cheers, Paul
