Possible East v West BOTW?

An idea emerged during a recent discussion about the ISE Best of the West that I'd like to introduce as a discussion topic on this Board.

Would it be fun to create European and an American casting teams then conduct a BOTW style shootout?

The rough idea as Paul and I have given cursory thought to is:
- Designate team captains for East and West who select a team of six casters.
- Both teams converge on either 2009 Denver or SLC ISE and conduct a shootout, based on the championship shootout.
- Crown a winning team/caster with fame and adulation.

That simple outline needs a great many more details fleshed out (picking captains, picking teams, number of male & female members, rules, equipment, travel, etc.) but I'm curious about some of your initial reactions to the idea.
