I actually got this one last year, but just came back across the picture. Caught it during a fishing derby (that I wasn't entered in) The guy fishing next to me that had been skunked all day, however, was. His eyes got all big and he got all flustered as we were taking the pic. He asked if I was entered in the derby and I said "NOPE" as I slipped my catch back into the water. The look on his face was priceless!

This is a nice little alpine lake in the middle of nowhere that I fished yesterday. Quite a bit of snow still left on the mountain tops. Lots of very small fish around with eyes bigger than their mouths. I must have seen 10 little fish come up and have a close look at a size 6 muddler which was almost as big as they were. Biggest fish was 1 lb, but all very pretty little brown trout with lots of red spots. No pictures of them unfortunately.

Jo

Nice Carl. I've missed out on getting that lens second hand twice now :glare: Looks like I'll be buying new.
I returned to my vehicle after a nice 11.5 hour stroll up secret creek to find I had left the back door of my vehicle wide open all day. That had the potential to go so horribly wrong. Lucky!
Unlucky that of about 12 hooked, only 3 made it too the net. Had some spectacular losses
There's that sandy caddis again. Don't come here without a good supply.
