I only have two months experience of NZ fishing - fishing the south island - but to me, the flies look great. I'm tying Wulfs and green Blowflys myself right now, will be going down to NZ in a few months and can't wait. I also tie a lot of cdc n elk/deer hair sedges, some with a lighter wing than y...

Thanks for the responses! I've tied some with really fat wingcases and some with smaller, and now I'll sit down to tie a few on lighter hooks. Since it's such a quick tie and can be tied with synthetics only I can tie more of the ones that works the best for me when I get down to NZ - I'll be bring...

Pogo nymphs

Hi everyone I want to tie some pogo nymphs for my NZ-trip - I'm leaving next week - but I'm having trouble with the foam wing case. The things is: They wont float unless I make the wing case abnormally big. I'm tying them on Kamasan B175 - maybee it's the heavy hooks fault, but i wont risk tying my...

Great fly.

Like Duckbill, I think it's a caenis. Could be a dun as well as a spinner? ... the duns also have spent wings, and are pretty much the same colour.

They somtimes hatch in vast numbers where I fish, and are able to cover your clothes with small white shucks.

Cheers

Thanks a lot for the advice everyone. I'll reduce the size to 800x600 or maybee get a Photobucket account. @Eric. Yes, the water was amazingly clear and had a very bright turquise colour. I drove from the coast where the river ran trough dessert and cactus and ended up fishing in a mountain lake in...

I'm having trouble with the last ones, so I'll stop here for now. They get really blurry when I try to downsize them to 150 kb. Like the last one, only worse. Wonder how that is avoided? Maybee it's my softeware - I use a free program I just downloaded called "Gimp" - I'm not very experie...

I'll try to post some pictures from the Cañete valley in Peru where I fished last year. I't wasn't a fishing trip, but i still managed to squeze in some fishing. Rio Cañete holds a lot of miniature rainbows and the lakes holds some bigger ones. All in alll the fishing wasn't that great, but the lan...

Mine arrived a couple of days ago. In the correct box. I still haven't had time to really study them, looking forward. Looks like there is a lot of inspiring flys in there. @Flyalf: Good with some info about your fly. Mine is a Cdc 'n' Elk, wich is the dry fly I use the most. It's a pattern by Hans...
