Hi Hans,

paul@sexyloops.com and paularden@sexyloops.com has no spam trapper. It's just the paul@sexyloops.co.uk that has a spam trap which I can't seem to remove! (I was getting about 1000 spam/day on that email box)

No worries Christian. The reason we don't have a For Sale section is to stop manufacturers and retailers off-loading gear through the back door.

For the same reason we don't run adverts on the Board - that and at least half the members have trade links somewhere!

It's nice to work things out on our own, but I like to know what's been worked out before! I reckon it takes 10-15 years of intense fishing to work out a type of fishery. That's 2000 days on the water. After that point if you haven't worked it out, what have you been doing? :p I have two distinct e...

That's certainly an interesting use for it, that I hadn't considered Morsie - thanks! Gordy Hill taught me another variation of a going away shot, which from memory was a type of spiral cast/mend.

Fantastic. Hopefully we can do that this summer. After the Spring I have a much clearer diary. Last year was insane and I won't be doing that again!

I learned it while being tested for my membership of the old Association of Professional Game Angling Instructors back in 1996. At the time it was called the "Underhand Cast". That was before the term was popularised for a style of Spey Casting. Hence the confusion. That's why I now call ...

Ha ha. I only got the 16K version.

Probably a couple of bucks a section, or something along those lines Morsie. The idea is that you can take it on the field, or to the water, and run through the casts step by step. I even wear a shirt :p

A good guide is great. He's a great angler passionate about his fishery that he knows inside out and wants to show you and will help teach you how to fish it. Secrets that have often taken a decade or two to establish. And the best ones are completely mad and a joy to meet. And I know that I am ver...
