Sideways 170 - is it possible?
Sideways 170 - is it possible?
This might be a daft question but...is it possible to throw a 170 style morphing backcast whilst sidecasting? [i.e. so the morphing is in the horizontal plane as opposed to the usual vertical].

i think it would be very very hard to get enough line speed. if you watch the height that the fluff comes past the caster when done overhead you can see that it drops very low. i cant imagine getting the line speed needed to keep the line off the ground.
would be happily proved wrong though!

Your right it is a silly question, but you made up for it with the addition of the ladder latter on in the thread.....James9118 wrote:This might be a daft question but...is it possible to throw a 170 style morphing backcast whilst sidecasting?
I would have a major effect on how I train instructors.
