"Blind" Fly-Fishing Grab Bag - Pay your money, take your chances
In what feels like Sexyloops tradition, I'll offer a "blind" fly-fishing grab bag of goodies for auction (ending November 21 at noon U.S. Central Time). The bag will contain items that are either new or lightly used (nothing leftover from the 80s, I promise). The items in the bag will be worth at least US$100 in current money. The bag could be worth a lot more than US$100, but I'm not saying, because that's the "grab bag" part of this: You grab the bag and whatever you get is what you get (that would also be the "take your chances" part). If you end up being the high bidder and don't like what you get, there is always eBay. So, take a chance for the cause, I won't be cheap in what I include.

Thanks to those who have already bid...I see that we are in pounds, not dollars, right off the bat, so I guess that I had better make this bag pretty tasty.
Walter--Thankfully, there are none of Paul's artifacts to be found, but if the high-bidder wants, I can toss in a pair of my old wet-wading socks, which I keep in a lead-lined vessel.
And, my cowboy boots are my business! I have worn such boots since I was a kid and I will continue to wear them (see Nature of Fly Casting for my lovingly rendered representation of said boots). I will not allow some movie to crush my pioneering Western spirit when it comes to footwear!!!

Magnus--I run about a US12-1/2 (47 or so Euro). I hesitate to ask why you are asking... Unless you are thinking that I am still wearing the same boots I did when I was a kid. The answer there is no--I have moved past those into the realm of the adult boot, complete with custom stitching.
My pleasure to get this going. I'm not sure if you mean the grab bag or the banter about my boots, but I'll grab at least a sliver of credit either way. :;):
And since SL is the site for all things casting, I guess I'll say that the grab bag will have at least one casting-related implement in it. Bid away, boys (and girls)!

That'll teach me to read more carefully.

Okay, we have two days to go, and let's see if I can't up the bidding a hair. There will be many things in this grab bag, and among the collection will be a small, shiny object that goes round-and-round, and a long tubular object that can be whipped back and forth (the type of whipping is high-bidder dependent). These objects are definitely worth more than US$266...(not holding you to that bid, Bob. I think that we both appreciate the 80s too much).
If that doesn't help, well, then we'll just go with what we get.
